“This diagnosis has made me want to help more women like myself.”
When I was first diagnosed back in September of 2018, the hardest thing about find out was wondering if I would beat cancer. My family is where I have found the most support, especially my mom. She helped out with taking care of my daughter and truly was such a huge help.
My breast cancer journey though however has taught me so much. I don’t take stuff for granted anymore and see life in a totally different light. This diagnosis has made me want to help more women life myself. I’ve started making wigs for breast cancer patients and giving out goodie bags as well to make them feel beautiful again. It is so important to stay positive and surround yourself with people that are positive influecnes as well.
If I could encourage other women during their diagnosis, I would tell them to stay positive, you will get through this. Make sure you do everything the doctor tells you and encourage others to perform their self exams. It is so so important!
