Have you ever found yourself feeling frustrated on a daily basis? Are there days you dread getting out of bed to face the same repetitive day that seems never-ending? Do you feel like the quality of your life has decreased, resulting in a loss of energy, motivation, and enthusiasm for the future? Are you looking to improve your quality of life?

It happens to the best of us. Let’s be honest from the get-go, life is HARD. Regardless of what season, stage, or time of life you may find yourself in we all  have our own battles to face. If I’m being honest, I want to give up on being a single working mom, go home, grab all my 4-year old’s snacks in the pantry and lay in bed for a week straight. Talk about a dream vacation am I right?

But whatever your situation in life may be life doesn’t always have to feel overwhelming. As humans, we are put on earth and given one precious and fragile life to live in ways that makes us happiest. I’ve always been told, “You have a choice, YOU get to chose how you view life. YOU get to chose if you let your struggles break or make you. YOU get to wake up every day and chose your attitude and outlook on the life you live.”

So , how do we improve the quality of our lives? I’ve always been a firm believer that you get back what you put out in the universe. Doing good deeds, replacing bad habits with better ones, and having a more positive outlook on life. I know, easier said than done, right? But don’t worry, here are a few easy ways to improve your quality of life for the better!

Put a Smile On

Even when you’re stressed or don’t feel like it. Smiling sends impulses to the brain which can trick your mind into thinking that you are happy regardless of what you may be feeling in the moment

Express Love

I LOVE love. Give someone a hug, call someone you miss, show your appreciation through acts of kindness. There are limitless ways you can show and spread love. And by spreading love, this will help you really feel the love back


Practice Gratitude Daily

Take 10-15 minutes to journal out what you are grateful for each day. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with life we forget to appreciate what we are blessed with. Journaling can help put things back into perspective for us

Get Up + Exercise

There are thousands of studies showing why exercising is good for you. Stress relief, better health, better sleep, longer lifespan. In summary: get moving!

Drink Plenty of Water

This is another one of those more obvious ones like exercising, but you can never say it enough. Drink your water! The health benefits of water are through the roof. Even if you ignore all habits listed here, don’t ignore this one, it’s the easiest one you could do.


Get Plenty of Sleep

Sleep deprivation can really take a toll on your health without you even noticing. It’s important to ensure you get between 7-8 hours every night for your body to function at its best.

Write Out Your Goals

Sometimes we get lost in our journey, overtaken and overwhelmed with what’s current. And we often start living day to day without a meaning or purpose. Setting visual goals will help to keep you focused on where you want to be in life and will motivate you to get there!

Get Organized

Oh, man , this is by far my favorite. There is nothing more I love than deep cleaning and organizing every inch of my home, car, and even office desk. When the things in life around you are in order, YOU will feel more in order and at peace.
