Wish List

This might be a little early for some, but, for my family and I, the day after Halloween means it’s time to start thinking about Christmas! The Hallmark Christmas movies play all day long, the house brightens up with Christmas lights and smells like sugar cookies.  It is my absolute favorite time of year.  We start making plans for our family get together and gift exchanges.  For every gift exchange a wish list is definitely needed! Of course, you can’t just put one thing on your wish list.  Then, there would be no surprise of opening your gift, and I don’t think anyone ever wants only one thing. However, you must remember that if you put clothes on your wish list, like I always do, it’s always important to put your size!  No one likes to have to guess your size and worry about the repercussions if it’s wrong, especially if it’s a woman you are shopping for.

So now that we are past Halloween, I have started my wish list.  My wish list is normally 95% some kind of clothing from active wear to a new little black dress.  This year I have absolutely fallen in love with the new velvet trend.  They have velvet shoes, jackets, dresses, shirts, pants and jumpsuits.  One item that will certainly make it on my list is this cute velvet shirt from Southern Jewlz boutique, and it is the perfect addition to every woman’s closet.  You can dress it up with some black pants and over the knee boots or make is casual with jeans and leopard sneakers.

Going through breast cancer or going through the recovery process of breast cancer can be emotionally draining.  Sometimes words of affirmation or a gift from your ultimate wish list can make such a challenging time disappear, even for just a moment.  You can make someone feel very special by showing you care with an item they are dreaming to have.

Hello there! I am the Programs Assistant at The Breast Cancer Charities of America. Working for BCCA has brought me much joy, knowing I can be a part of helping others who are in need. But outside of work, I am a fitness junky, food lovin’, sunshine addict, crazy cat lady, with a gypsy soul. I love to find new and creative workouts, snuggling with my fur baby Jax, spending a sunny day out in the water (accompanied with an adult beverage) soaking up some vitamin D, and traveling the world.
