Wine, Women & Shoes National Fundraiser Announcement

Wine Women & Shoes National Fundraiser Puts Best Foot Forward with an Event to
The Breast Cancer Charities of America

The Woodlands, TX – June 26, 2014: What do a strappy stiletto and a sauvignon blanc have in common?  What pinot would you pair with platform pumps? These queries and more will be answered when we raise our glasses at the first annual Wine Women & Shoes Houston fundraiser on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the The Woodlands Waterway Marriot benefiting The Breast Cancer Charities of America.

wws“We speak the language of Barolo AND Manolo!” quips Elaine Honig, Founder of Wine Women & Shoes – the fastest-growing luxury event series created for women by women in the U.S. Now in its eighth year with events in twenty-four cities (and counting), WW&S has helped net $9 million for the various women’s and family-related causes that host this annual fundraiser, which began in Napa Valley.

Approximately 350 wine-savvy, shoe-loving women will kick up their heels for a cause as they gather to sip varietals from some of the country’s top winemakers, shop the latest trends in the multi-designer Marketplace, and swoon over the charming “Shoe Guys” serving up this season’s must-haves on silver platters. WW&S will also feature Shoe Contest, Best Dressed Contest, and Paparazzi Pink Carpet.

From pearls to peep toes, Marketplace designers will include fabulous footwear from Tiffany Jorge, Inc., jewelry by Rustic Cuff and Nihsima, and handbags showcased from Susie O’s – to name a few – while delectable nibbles are provided by The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

This is an event with some serious sole: all proceeds benefit The Breast Cancer Charities of America, who’s mission is to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening illness through prevention, research, education, survival and support. In 2013 BCCA was able to help over 1 million people across the US bringing the prevention and survivorship message to over 450 hospital partnerships, Universities and households.

Tickets are $95. For more information, please call or e-mail Erica Tullis, or to purchase tickets, please visit Change your shoes, change a life!
