The Breast Cancer Charities of America Receives $15,000 Grant from Newfield Foundation

The Woodlands, TX, April 18, 2017

The Breast Cancer Charities of America was honored to receive a $15,000 grant from The Newfield Foundation, the philanthropy arm of Newfield Exploration, an independent oil and gas company headquartered in The Woodlands.

Newfield Exploration created ‘The Newfield Foundation’ in 2001 to improve local communities where their employees live and work. This is the fifth consecutive year that Newfield Exploration has granted BCCA with funds to aid in their many program services here in The Woodlands-Houston area.

The Breast Cancer Charities of America is a nonprofit organization headquartered in The Woodlands, TX serving women across the country who are battling or have battled breast cancer. BCCA is the leader in integrated cancer care, and focuses on education, financial assistance, and making women feel like themselves throughout a breast cancer diagnosis.

“Having partners like The Newfield Foundation is pertinent to our program services here in the Houston area and across the US” said Erica Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America. “The ongoing support from The Newfield Foundation is so greatly appreciated by the patients that we serve…we’re fortunate to have their partnership.”

The Newfield Foundation grant will be used for The Breast Cancer Charities of America’s program services, such as the Help Now Fund, iGoPink Educational Workshops, and Feeling Beautiful Again. The grant will also be used locally in conjunction with BCCA’s two newest program services available to women in the Greater Houston area: an educational scholarship and medical financial assistance.
